Trialing the "No Poo" Method

Started this around May 11th/14.

I had been using the Tresemme brand for well over the past few years as it seemed the most bang for my buck.

However in my attempts to go even more frugal I started looking up the apple cider vinegar and baking soda routine instead (two things I already have in my pantry hurray).  I used that for the first three weeks then stopped completely after one shower where I used way too much baking soda on my hair and ended up with crunchy and sticky strands.

So instead for the past week and a bit I've just been rinsing my hair in the shower every 3 days or so.  Right now I'm in the oily "icky" stage of the project from what I've read on other blogs.  It doesn't look TOO bad but it does feel pretty slick.  I did come close to caving in and shampooing my hair but I was able to hold out.  Need to see this through to the end because the benefits are (1) less chemicals used on my body, (2) cheaper, and (3) better for the environment in terms of less chemicals down the drain and less plastic bottles for my recycling bin.
